FAQ

  • do you take my insurance?

I currently accept Regence Blue Shield of Washington, Blue Cross of Massachusetts, Aetna, Quest Behavioral Health, CareFirst, Premera, and partners of Optum. I also accept private pay and can supply a superbill for insurance reimbursement. I partner with Headway for billing and insurance purposes and you can learn more about your out of pocket cost by clicking on the book now link below.

  • Do you treat...?

The simple answer is YES, most likely. I am well versed in treating most diagnoses. If you are curious if we are a good fit, please reach out via phone or email to schedule a free consultation. In your message let me know you’d like a consultation and leave times that you are available.

  • What does it cost?

Your out of pocket cost depends on your insurance. If I do not take your insurance the out of pocket cost is $150 per 55 minute session. I can supply you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

  • What is therapy like?

Therapy is a process and it looks different for each individual. However, these things tend to be the same:

first session: Intake (gather information to determine diagnoses and identify what you want to work on)

second session: Identify goals and build treatment plan so we know what you want to accomplish/change.

All following sessions: build skills to work towards goals, identify barriers to success, and assess progress.

  • How long/frequent are sessions?

This depends on you! The goal of therapy is to help you build skills so that you no longer need therapy (meaning, you can utilize your new skills independently). Most individuals begin their therapy journey with weekly sessions and then decrease frequency as skills become fluent. Sessions are typically 55 minutes in length.
